As we prepare for another unforgettable event, we will be looking for volunteers, sponsors, donors, and attendees to help make the evening a success. Join us for a night of fun while supporting hope, healing, and advocacy for children and families in our community!
The Guernsey County Children’s Advocacy Center is proud to offer Darkness to Light training to community members, organizations, schools, and professionals throughout our area. Darkness to Light is a nationally recognized child abuse prevention program designed to educate adults on how to recognize, respond to, and prevent child sexual abuse.
Through this training, participants learn practical steps to help protect children, identify warning signs of abuse, respond appropriately to disclosures, and create safer environments for children in our community. The program empowers adults with the knowledge and confidence needed to take action and help prevent abuse before it happens.
The CAC believes prevention starts with education and strong community partnerships. By providing Darkness to Light training, we are working to build a safer, more informed community where children are protected, families are supported, and adults are equipped with the tools they need to recognize and respond to concerns appropriately.
We are committed to partnering with schools, businesses, churches, youth-serving organizations, and community groups to expand awareness and strengthen child safety throughout Guernsey County.

Community Education
The Guernsey County Children’s Advocacy Center is committed to providing educational opportunities that strengthen child safety and support families throughout our community.
A major objective of the CAC is to enhance community awareness surrounding the many forms of child abuse, reporting procedures, trauma-informed care, and the importance of community partnerships in protecting children.
Our trainings are designed for schools, businesses, healthcare providers, law enforcement, churches, youth-serving organizations, and community members who want to better understand how to recognize concerns, respond appropriately, and support children and families in a compassionate and informed way.
Through these educational opportunities, participants gain valuable knowledge about identifying signs of abuse, mandated reporting responsibilities, the effects of trauma on children and families, and how collaboration between agencies and community partners plays a critical role in prevention, intervention, and healing.
The CAC believes education is one of the most powerful tools in preventing abuse and building a safer community for children. By working together and increasing awareness, we can create stronger support systems, encourage early intervention, and promote hope and healing for families throughout Guernsey County.
